Has your countdown to retirement finally completed its course? If so, you must be having many different emotions. On one hand, maybe you are a bit sad that the years are passing. Where Do You Want To Live? - If you close your eyes and imagine where you'd love to be, what do you see? Do you see yourself walking to art galleries, museums, and lovely shopping areas? Or, maybe you see yourself walking in the quiet countryside to enjoy nature. Whatever you see in your imaginations will more than likely be where you will be happiest, right?
If you decide that you want an active life that includes things like shopping and visiting local attractions, perhaps you'll be happiest in the city, or at least close to it. Maybe you see yourself entertaining friends and family members in a country cabin.
What Kind Of Home Do You Want? - When you decide where you want to live, then you need to decide on what kind of single family home you want. For example, do you want a one-story house, a two-story house, or a multi-level house? Do you want most of the square footage to be in the living area? If so, that probably means that your bedrooms might be on the small side.
If you love formal entertaining, think of doing away with the dining side of your kitchen and buying a single family house that has a separate dining room as part of its design. And, of course, you'll want to establish how many bedrooms and bathrooms you want.
